Fundraisers

Our Kiwanis Club is a 501c3 non-profit and we rely on the generosity of donors to fund our programs and services. To raise funds, we hold various events throughout the year. Listed below are some of our current fundraisers.

Holiday Home Tour

New for 2024, we will be offering a FREE holiday map of homes in Elk Grove. There are no prizes for this event, just an opportunity to view homes decorated for the holidays. Maps are available starting December 10th and through December 25th at noon. MAP REQUEST LINK

You can add your home to our map now through December 18th. Visit our form to signup and for details: Holiday Home Tour – Home Registration

Whiskey & Wine Tasting Fundraiser

Our newest fundraiser was held on November 9th, 2024 and it is a huge success! Everyone had a fantastic time and we look forward to seeing it grow in 2025. Stay tuned for the next date.

Carnitas and Margaritas Feed

The Carnitas and Margaritas Feed is our flagship fundraiser and supports the majority of our programs. It occurs the 1st Saturday of every May and features an all-you-can-eat carnitas dinner with all the fixings, margaritas (of course), beer, sangria, a huge raffle and silent auction. We appreciate the support of all our local restaurants and businesses for their donations. Tickets go on sale mid-December on our Square store.

Halloween Home Tour

When the pandemic hit, we had to rethink how we fundraised. The Halloween Home Tour was one of the fundraisers that was started and it has become a fun annual event for the Elk Grove community. Homeowners register their Halloween-themed homes with us and we put them on a map. Business owners sponsor the event with swag, candy and other Halloween goodies for gift bag. And then for a donation, you can purchase a map (with fun swag bag) of the Halloween homes in our Elk Grove zip codes. Make it a girls night, date night or family night – but it will definitely be fun!

Congratulations to our winners for the 5th Annual Halloween Home Tour! Our SCARIEST home winner was Home #8 (Jenny Lynn Way) and the FAVORITE winner was Home #6 (Los Encantos Circle).

Superheroes Breakfast

Who wants pancakes? At the end of October/beginning of November, we host a Superheroes Breakfast to support the Cosumnes Community Services Recreation ADventures (RAD) program. Our superhero friends from CAUSEplay for Hope come out and we love the smiles on the faces of the kids that attend. Dressing in costume is highly encouraged! Look for this event in your CSD Activity Guide and be sure to register for the seating time that works for your child. We also have a special seating time for adults with special needs.

Egg My Yard

We love putting smiles on the faces of children and helping parents and this is exactly what the Egg My Yard fundraiser does. Parents purchase prefilled plastic Easter eggs (filled with candy and toys) and then on Easter eve we hide the eggs on the front lawn and leave a basket, treat and personalized letter from the Easter Bunny. This fundraiser is only available in the Elk Grove zip codes of 95624, 95757 and 95758. Look for sign ups on our Facebook page one month leading up to Easter.

Pints for PTP / 99 Beers & a Yeti

Our Kiwanis club raises funds for every year for the Cal-Nev-Ha Children’s Fund Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) which aims to reduce or eliminate injuries to children with a fundraiser we like to call Pints for PTP and a raffle called 99 Beers and a Yeti. The fundraiser is held every year at Flatland Brewing Company in the month of March and the drawing coincides with the Pints for PTP event. We raffle off a Yeti cooler valued at $300-$500 (value changes each year) and all the beer is donated by local craft breweries. To date, we have raised over $10,000 for the Pediatric Trauma Program! Look for information on this event and raffle starting in each January.
